Canadian lawmakers in special session pay tributes to Queen Elizabeth II

Ottawa –  The House of Commons held special session to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II and mark the accession to the throne of King Charles III, prior to Monday’s national commemorations. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was first to honour the monarch. This was followed by Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, Bloc Quebecois Leader Yves-Francois Blanchet, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, Green Party MP Mike Morrice and other party members.
