Ontario – The Ontario government has signed a $1.3-million contract with a public relations firm to lobby the Trump`s US government. The agreement between the Ministry of Intergovernmental Affairs and Capitol Council, a firm based in Washington, DC, took effect on Aug. 1 and will last 11 months, according to a copy of the contract. Per contract the firm researches and analyzes the impact of proposed US policies and legislation on “specific Ontario key issues and sectors.” It will also review Ontario`s communications and key messages to make recommendations on “how to better position for a US audience.”
