Trudeau explores opportunities in meeting with Thai PM

Bangkok – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau went to Thailand to hold meetings to expand Canada’s trade with the Indo-Pacific region. The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) forum is a group of 21 economies that work together to promote trade. Trudeau attending Apec leaders’ meeting and made an overnight stop in Bangkok. Trudeau said: “Apec is an opportunity to deepen our ties in the Indo-Pacific and create new economic opportunities. I thanked Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha for hosting this year’s Summit and discussed how Canada and Thailand are fighting climate change and creating good jobs together.”
