​BRAMPTON – This year, Thanksgiving takes place on Monday, October 10. Here is what you need to know about City of Brampton services that day.

All City facilities will be closed and Transit services will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. All essential and critical services, including Fire and Emergency Services, Traffic Services, By-Law Enforcement, Road Operations, and Security Services will continue to operate as usual to support the community.

Brampton Transit 

Brampton Transit will be operating on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. The Contact Centre is available to assist from 9 am to 6 pm by calling 905.874.2999.

Customer Service counters at all terminals, and the Clark and Sandalwood facilities, will be closed on Thanksgiving.

Select City of Brampton Recreation Centres are open for limited programs and services on Thanksgiving. Holiday hours can be viewed here.

All Brampton Library branches will be closed on Sunday, October 9 and Monday, October 10.

Brampton Animal Services

The Brampton Animal Shelter will be closed on Thanksgiving on Monday, October 10. Animal Control will be on the road from 8 am to 6:30 pm and will continue to respond to emergency calls outside of these hours.
