Toronto – Continuing a long-standing tradition of supporting community through philanthropy, the City of Toronto will hold a kickoff event for its annual United Way Employee Campaign today, September 22. This year’s event will be in hybrid format; in-person at the City Hall Podium Green Roof and via virtual stream.
The City is a strong and long-standing partner of the United Way’s, with thousands of City employees coming together to raise more than $1 million annually to help ensure the community remains strong and vibrant. This year’s theme – “One City, One Team, One Campaign” – is made possible through collaboration with City agencies and corporations.
The need for the City’s 2022 United Way Employee Campaign is more important than ever as the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the most vulnerable members of the community. This year’s campaign will focus on supporting residents through pandemic recovery and leading change by fighting against inequality.
