The Special Central Court in Islamabad has accepted two key requests from PTI founder Imran Khan — allowing him to speak with his children via phone and undergo a medical checkup by his private doctors.
Judge Shah Arjumand issued the verdict, approving both requests.
In its ruling, the court stated that last year and this year, prison authorities had been ordered to facilitate weekly WhatsApp calls between Imran Khan and his children. Therefore, the Superintendent of Adiala Jail must ensure the implementation of these court orders.
The order also states that a compliance report on the WhatsApp calls must be submitted to the court.
Additionally, the court directed that Imran Khan’s personal doctors be allowed to conduct a medical examination in the presence of jail doctors. A medical report on the examination must be submitted to the court by April 28.
