BRISBANE – Transgender athletes will be stopped from women’s international rugby league matches while inclusion policy is being drafted. Two days earlier world  swimming governing body banned transgender women to participate in women’s events. The IRL said in a statement: “Until further research is completed to enable the IRL to implement a formal transgender inclusion policy, male-to-female (transwomen) players are unable to play in sanctioned women’s international rugby league matches.”
