CIA changes opinion on origin of coronavirus, believes it was probably a lab accident
The White House has announced support for the theory that Covid-19 originated in a lab on its official website.
The page, which resembles a movie poster, has a large headline “Laboratory Leak”. Between those two words is a picture of US President Donald Trump. Below the headline it says: “The Real Origin of Covid-19”.
The page accuses the media, politicians, health authorities and US immunologist Anthony Fauci of spreading the theory that the virus originated naturally.

The site also criticizes some of the main rules of the pandemic period, such as social distancing, wearing masks and complete lockdowns, which it calls wrong.
One of the first moves of the new director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), John Ratcliffe, was to change his agency’s opinion on the origin of the coronavirus in January to the position that it was probably a lab accident.
The CIA estimates that the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic is more likely to be research-related than natural in origin.
In early December, a subcommittee of the US House of Representatives already presented a report supporting the laboratory theory.
Lothar Wieler, former president of Germany’s Robert Koch Institute (RKI), also considers the theory of a laboratory origin of the virus more likely, he recently told the weekly edition of the German newspaper “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung”.
The RKI monitors diseases and public health in Germany.
