India has achieved the distinction of being ranked as the fourth most powerful military globally in the Global Firepower Index 2025 (GFP Index). This ranking underscores India’s advancing defense capabilities across its Army, Navy, and Air Force, thereby reinforcing its status among the leading military powers worldwide. The United States continues to hold the top position, followed by Russia and China in second and third places, respectively.
