After the controversial Wakf (Amendment) Bill 2025 was passed in the Indian Lok Sabha, protests have erupted across India.

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has taken a strong stance against the approved Wakf (Amendment) Bill 2025.

AIMPLB has announced the launch of a national movement against the Wakf (Amendment) Bill.

In a statement, AIMPLB’s General Secretary Maulana Muhammad Fazl-ur-Rehman Mujaddidi said:

“Our leadership will not shy away from any sacrifice,” Maulana Muhammad Fazl-ur-Rehman Mujaddidi.

“We will run a strong movement against the ‘oppressive amendments’ with the support of justice-loving forces,” Maulana Muhammad Fazl-ur-Rehman Mujaddidi.

The movement will begin with a large public gathering at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi, and it will continue until Eid-ul-Adha, Maulana Muhammad Fazl-ur-Rehman Mujaddidi added.

In the first phase of the movement, a “Waqf Bachao, Constitution Bachao” campaign will be run for one week, Maulana Muhammad Fazl-ur-Rehman Mujaddidi announced.

The Board will take a legal route by challenging the amendments in the Supreme Court and will also carry out peaceful protests, Maulana Muhammad Fazl-ur-Rehman Mujaddidi said.

Protests will include demonstrations, wearing black arm bands, roundtable meetings, and press conferences, Maulana Muhammad Fazl-ur-Rehman Mujaddidi stated.

Muslim leaders will also give symbolic arrests in every state capital, and district-level protests will be organized, he added.

Large-scale protests will be held in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Lucknow, and others, Maulana Muhammad Fazl-ur-Rehman Mujaddidi concluded.
