Toronto – Mayor Olivia Chow was at 5207 Dundas St. W. to celebrate the start of construction of new rental homes as part of the Housing Now Initiative – creating new mixed-income complete communities on City-owned land. The Mayor was joined by the following dignitaries at the ground-breaking:

- Andrew Joyner, Managing Director Tricon Residential
The homes at this site are part of the Housing Now Initiative that aims to deliver 10,000 affordable rental homes within mixed-income, mixed-use and complete communities on City-owned lands by 2030. Housing Now supports the implementation of the City’s HousingTO 2020-2030 Action Plan (HousingTO Plan), which targets the approval of 40,000 new affordable rental homes with 18,000 supportive homes to help increase housing stability for Toronto residents over the next 10 years.
