BRAMPTON – Axium Packaging Inc. is expanding its operations and construction is underway with a new manufacturing facility in Brampton. They are investing over $80M and employing 250 team members at this location.
The new site is anticipated to open July 2024. Axium has 20 manufacturing plants in the United States, Canada and Mexico and employs over 3,600 employees. Its corporate headquarters is in New Albany, Ohio, with other manufacturing sites throughout the United States.
Axium Packaging provides design engineering and tool building solutions for its customers’ packaging needs including: plastic containers, tubes, caps and high end decorating services.
In line with the City’s climate goals and priority of creating greener cities, Axium is focused on sustainability and engineering facilities for the future. From designing packaging with optimized bottle weights to building manufacturing facilities to be LEED Silver compliant, the Axium team prioritizes sustainability initiatives in all aspects of its business. In 2022 Axium made a significant investment setting up a factory (Vertix) in New Albany Ohio to produce their own grade of PCR (post-consumer resin). Today, it produces bottles using up to 100% recycled resin.
The investment Axium is making in Brampton, further solidifies the company’s commitment to growth in Ontario.
