LA – The study, featured in the journal BMJ Oncology, shows cancer cases among those aged 14 to 49 have increased by nearly 80%, soaring from 1.82 million to 3.26 million from 1990-2019. The international team of researchers said poor dietary habits, smoking, and alcohol consumption were significant risk factors associated with cancer in this age group. However, exact reasons behind the escalating trend in early-onset cancer cases remain uncertain.
