Fredericton – Atlantic Canada is home to entrepreneurs who are advancing cutting-edge technologies that are making waves on the world stage. The Government of Canada is investing to help Fredericton company SmartSkin Technologies Inc., grow and reach new global markets.
Jenica Atwin, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous Services, and Member of Parliament for Fredericton, announced a repayable contribution of $999,750 through ACOA’s Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) program for SmartSkin Technologies Inc. The announcement was made on behalf of Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Development and Minister responsible for ACOA.
This investment is helping the company with marketing activities including website enhancements, a customer training portal, digital content creation, trade shows and advertising, as well as the hiring of a marketing manager. The support will allow SmartSkin to launch new products and accelerate its growth in international markets.
This project is another example of how the Government of Canada is contributing to Atlantic Canada’s momentum by strengthening our communities, creating new opportunities, and setting the stage for a strong, sustainable future.
