BRAMPTON – Summer break is around the corner. Get ready for an exciting adventure as the City of Brampton’s summer camp registration opens on April 8, offering a wide range of activities and experiences for children, youth and young adults ages four to 21 and older.
Key dates
- Summer camps are now available to view online (as of March 25 at 12:00 am).
- Brampton resident summer camp registration begins on April 8 at 6 am.
- Non-resident summer camp registration begins on April 29 at 6 am.
New camps this year
Camp EMS Trippers at Chinguacousy Park
Participants who have always wanted to learn about being a first responder with emergency services will have the opportunity to interact with firefighters, paramedics and police officers in a safe, controlled, educational, and fun environment.
Camp Inclusive: No Limits (6 to 13 years) now offered at Gore Meadows Community Centre and Library
This camp program is for individuals living with disabilities to participate in activities such as crafts, games, music, swimming, and special events. These fun and inclusive activities will also promote social and motor skills development. This camp is also offered at Century Gardens Recreation Centre.
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) Camps now available at Central Peel Collaborative Learning Technology Centre (CLTC)
CLTC is a shared space where students and youth from across the city can collaborate and learn. The centre focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) related programming for the community. The space contains up-to-date technology supporting the type of learning required for careers in STEAM fields.
Brampton Honey Badgers (BHB) Summer Camp Takeover
Brampton Honey Badgers, one of the original franchises of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), will take over Brampton summer camps from July 8 to 12. Participants registered for this week will have a unique summer camp experience, including:
- A visit from Hammer (the Brampton Honey Badgers mascot) and team members.
- Travel to the CAA Centre on Wednesday, July 10, to experience a professional basketball game when the Honey Badgers host the Ottawa BlackJacks.
- Participate in a week of basketball-themed camp activities and giveaways.
Summer Camp inclusion support
The City of Brampton is committed to providing recreational experiences to individuals of all abilities.
The Integrated Program encourages participants who are living with a disability to take part in City of Brampton registered camp programs with additional support on a two-to-one ratio. To request additional support for children while they take part in a registered camp program, you must register your child into a camp of their choice and then register for Integration Support Request. Each week of camp has an Integration Support Request registration option. Additional support is subject to staff availability.
One-to-one support is available in integration and inclusion camp settings for an additional fee.

In-person registration
Patrons can visit any recreation centre to register for programs. In addition, laptops are available at select recreation centres for City staff to support residents during registrations. They include:

- Save Max Sports Centre
- Susan Fennell Sportsplex
Online Registration
To help ensure a seamless online registration process, residents are asked to:
- Make sure you can log in to your online account in advance.
- Check your personal information on your account to ensure accuracy.
- Browse programs in advance of registration day and make a shortlist.
- Add credit card card information to your account in advance. We can no longer accept financial information over the phone or via email.
- Use the date range filter and select the next session date to browse available courses.
- Do not refresh the page while payment is being processed.
- The Google Chrome browser provides the best user experience.
Patrons will be added to a virtual waiting room on the day of registration to ensure a fair and equitable process and to help improve the online registration experience.

Financial Assistance for Residents
ActiveAssist, generously sponsored by 407 ETR and Capital Power, is a fee subsidy program offered by the City of Brampton, designed to help low-income individuals and families in Brampton participate in recreation programs. This program is available for Brampton residents who qualify.

About the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL)
A league created by Canadians for Canadians with a mission to develop Canadian players, coaches, sports executives, and referees, the CEBL boasts the highest percentage of Canadian players of any pro league in the country with 73% of its 2023 rosters being Canadian. Players bring experience from the NBA, NBA G League, top international pro leagues, the Canadian National team program, and top NCAA programs as well as U SPORTS. Fourteen players have signed NBA contracts following a CEBL season, and numerous CEBL players attend NBA G League training camps every year. The CEBL season runs from May through August.
