Brampton’s City Hall, parking garage undergoes 2-day closure

​​BRAMPTON, ON—As work continues to ensure the safety and security of Brampton’s City Hall with a new emergency generator, the parking garage and building will close for essential project work this weekend. Electrical power will be partially disconnected from approximately 7 am to 6 pm on both Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26, 2024.

This shutdown is not anticipated to impact computer or phone systems and all essential and critical services, including Fire and Emergency Services, Traffic Services, By-Law Enforcement, Road Operations and Security Services will continue to operate as usual.

During this closure, City staff and members of the public will not be able to access City Hall and the underground parking garage. Free parking remains available in Downtown Brampton:

  • West Tower Parking Garage (41 George Street South)
  • Nelson Square Parking Garage (9 Diplock Lane)
  • John Street Parking Garage (16 John Street)
  • Market Square Parking Garage (Theatre Lane & Union Street)
