Toronto hosts Collision conference

Toronto – The City of Toronto is proud to host the 2024 Collision conference, North America’s fastest-growing technology conference that welcomes innovators, entrepreneurs, tech professionals and visitors from around the world to Toronto. Collision starts today and runs through Thursday, June 20 at the Enercare Centre and Beanfield Centre at Exhibition Place.

The Toronto Pavilion at Collision will open on Tuesday, June 18 with a launch event at 11:30 a.m. Attendees can learn more about how the City supports technology industries, fosters growth and innovation and why Toronto is not just a destination for travel, but a place to live and work. This year’s conference will bring together more than 800 speakers, 1,400 journalists, 1,000 investors, 2,000 startups and 300 partners from more than 140 countries to foster connections and tackle real-world challenges.

Collision continues to help Toronto attract foreign direct investment to Canada through company expansions and relocations, promote international trade, partnerships and venture capital investment in Canadian companies and boost the Toronto and Canadian innovation ecosystems on a global scale.

According to Destination Toronto, Collision 2024 is projected to bring $42 million in visitor spending to the local economy, with the 2019, 2022 and 2023 conferences delivering approximately $112 million in visitor spending and $189 million in economic impact.

Toronto is home to the largest technology hub in Canada and third largest in North America, with 24,000 companies and 289,000 technology workers. Toronto has a diverse and growing talent pool and industry-leading research and development have made Toronto a global hub for technology and innovation.
