London – Melanoma skin cancer cases are rising and are caused by too much exposure to ultraviolet light from the Sun or tanning beds. Getting a tan before going on holiday, has also sparked a fresh warning about the dangers of using a sunbed. Melanoma often starts as a new mole or a change in a mole that people already have. When it has spread to another part of the body, chemotherapy, which kills cancer cells, is sometimes used to treat advanced melanoma.
