Ottawa – Health officials in Canada have changed the guidelines for respiratory syncytial virus vaccines. The National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) now recommends RSV vaccines for individuals who are 75 and older, especially those who have a greater risk of developing severe RSV. Based on current evidence and expert opinion, NACI said in a news release, it also strongly recommends vaccines for those aged 60 and older who live in nursing homes and other chronic care facilities.
