BRAMPTON—The City of Brampton’s West Tower Parking Garage will be undergoing essential repairs. To complete the work, parking levels four and five will temporarily close on Monday, July 22, followed by full closure of the garage on August 2. The garage is anticipated to reopen on Monday, September 2, with all parking levels available for use.
Brampton’s West Tower, built in 2015, includes a five-level, below-grade parking garage, with 446 parking spaces available for residents, visitors and staff. Work is required on all five levels of the garage to reinforce the structure and address waterproofing issues to extend the service life of the garage. The project scope includes:
- replacing deteriorated waterproofing
- repairing delaminated/deteriorated concrete on columns, walls and suspended slabs
- replacing concrete topping on the entrance ramp
- replacing deteriorated suspended slab drains and associated plumbing
- repairing cracks and joints in the foundation walls and podium roof deck
While the repairs are underway, free parking remains available in downtown Brampton at:
- John Street Parking Garage, 16 John St.
- City Hall Parking Garage, 2 Wellington St. W.
- Market Square Parking Garage, 1 Theatre Ln.
- Nelson Square Parking Garage, 2 Diplock Ln.
- George Street North Surface Parking Lot, 20 George St. N.
Bicycle parking is available at every garage except at Nelson Square Garage.
