Toronto – The City of Toronto is gearing up for the 2024 NHL season as the Toronto Maple Leafs prepare for their home opener against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Scotiabank Arena tomorrow, October 12. To drop the puck on the season, a special flag-raising ceremony took place at Toronto City Hall-Courtesy flagpole, Podium Roof, 100 Queen Street W. Mayor Olivia Chow was in attendance, alongside Carlton the Bear, the Maple Leafs mascot, and Toronto Maple Leafs alumnus Wendel Clark. Buds fans were encouraged to wear their Maple Leafs gear and show their support in person. #LeafsForever
