Ottawa – Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, travelled to Anagni and Fiuggi, Italy, to attend the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
Minister Joly joined her G7 counterparts to discuss critical global issues, including the ongoing Middle East conflict, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, and the situation in Lebanon. Discussions will also cover the stability of the Indo-Pacific, cooperation with Africa and urgent situations in Sudan, Haiti and Venezuela.
Minister Joly will meet with Antonio Tajani, Italy’s Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and other G7 counterparts and guests to discuss shared priorities such as promoting the rules-based international order, advancing gender equality and protecting human rights worldwide.
