Recognizing its significance, the Government of Canada is investing to help a key tourism organization in New Brunswick bolster its essential efforts in cultivating a thriving and prosperous tourism sector in the province.

Jenica Atwin, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous Services and Member of Parliament for Fredericton, announced an investment of $122,092 for the Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick (TIANB). The announcement was made on behalf of Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Development and Minister responsible for ACOA. Isabelle Thériault, Minister of Tourism, Heritage and Culture also announced contributions of $30,000 on behalf of the Province of New Brunswick, for TIANB.

The funding is helping the organization elevate its marketing, communication, and governance strategies, enhancing visibility, and upgrade its website to boost membership and access to training and resources. The investment also enabled TIANB to host the New Brunswick Tourism Summit, allowing tourism organizations and operators to network and share knowledge.

Together, these initiatives will empower the tourism sector by positioning TIANB as a leading voice and enhancing the tools, skills, and networking opportunities available to members. This announcement further demonstrates the Government of Canada’s commitment to help grow Atlantic Canada’s tourism sector and highlight the region’s diverse experiences to visitors from around the world.
