Minister Joly attends Nato Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Belgium

Ottawa – Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, today announced that she will be travelling to Brussels, Belgium, to attend the NATO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting from April 3 to 4, 2025. In Brussels, she will meet with Allies and partners to discuss threats and challenges to Euro-Atlantic security. During the meeting, the foreign ministers will also mark NATO’s 76th anniversary and celebrate decades of cooperation and historic achievements in security.

Canada co-founded NATO in 1949. Today, NATO comprises 32 Allies that are united in their commitment to Euro-Atlantic security and defence. NATO is a cornerstone of Canadian security and defence policy and an important platform for Canada’s contributions to international peace and security.
