Ottawa – Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has travelled to San Francisco, California. She will be there from November 13-17, to participate in the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Annual Ministerial Meeting hosted by US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken.
During her visit, Minister Joly will engage with her Indo-Pacific counterparts and with private sector leaders to advance Canadian priorities related to artificial intelligence, economic collaboration, sustainability and inclusivity in the region. Minister Joly will also meet with government and business leaders from California to strengthen cooperation between Canada and the United States on key issues of common interest, including climate change, clean energy and the Indo-Pacific.
