Joly concludes diplomatic week in Europe, G20 meetings with visit to UK

Ottawa – Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, travelled to London, United Kingdom (UK), for a bilateral visit. Minister Joly met with David Lammy, the UK’s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, to discuss shared priorities, including the implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza and Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Minister Joly will also meet with Jonathan Powell, the UK’s National Security Advisor. During her trip, Minister Joly highlighted the strength of the friendship between Canada and the United Kingdom, including in the context of Canada’s G7 Presidency.
