RIYADH- Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mélanie Joly met with Assistant Speaker of the Saudi Shoura Council, Dr Hanan bint Abdulrahim Al-Ahmadi at the Shoura Council headquarters in Riyadh. Dr Al-Ahmadi highlighted the council’s active role in parliamentary diplomacy and its impact on developing and strengthening relations with councils and parliaments, as well as in enriching parliamentary work, and fostering cooperation. Joly discussed several topics of common interest and cooperation between the two countries.
