Minister Wilkinson talks about critical mineral in DC

DC – Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, was in DC. Relying on Russia & China for critical minerals is a risk to US security and economic stability. He said: “But, there’s a better path: joint investments in North American critical mineral supply chains. Let’s move beyond tariff threats, build an energy and minerals alliance and grow our economies together. Rather than going down a path that will inevitably be lose-lose, I am suggesting that we should instead build upon current success by developing a  US-Canada alliance in energy and minerals.
“China dominates the critical mineral supply chain—let’s change that. Canada’s vast deposits combined with U.S. processing can fuel both economies, create jobs, and secure the resources driving the next generation of technology and defence systems across North America and beyond.”
