Toronto – Taylor Swift will perform six sold-out shows of her Eras Tour at Rogers Centre on:
- Thursday, November 14
- Friday, November 15
- Saturday, November 16
- Thursday, November 21
- Friday, November 22
- Saturday, November 23
Toronto is proud to host many major international cultural and sporting events every year, and its selection as a host city for six Eras Tour concert dates reinforces the city’s status as a top global destination for events and travel.
Since Taylor Swift announced Toronto tour dates in November 2023, the City of Toronto and its partners have worked closely to prepare for hosting the pop megastar and welcoming an influx of visiting Swifties to Toronto.
Economic and Cultural benefits
- The majority of concertgoers are expected to be visitors from outside of Toronto, with up to 500,000 visitors expected during the nearly two-week period around the concert series. This includes parents and travel partners who are accompanying concertgoers to Toronto but not attending the shows themselves.
- The Eras Tour is expected to bring more than $282 million in economic impact and more than $152 million in direct spending, with visitors accounting for 93 per cent of spending, according to an estimate by Destination Toronto .
- Under the curatorial leadership of the City’s Poet Laureate Lillian Allen, and with support from the City’s Youth Poet Laureate Shahaddah Jack, the City will present poetry-inspired pre-concert programming for Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour. Inspired by Swift’s most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, the program will be called “T.O. Poets Department“ featuring family-friendly and free public activations:
- Roaming Pop-Up Poets features Toronto poets reciting poetry, while roaming ‘Taylor Swift Way’ on concert dates from 1pm-4pm.
- City Block Poetry features Toronto poets inviting the public to interact with large-scale blocks with a different word taken from Taylor Swift lyrics on each side of each block to compose original poetic phrases. Blocks will be placed at Nathan Phillips Square, Campbell House and David Pecaut Square along ‘Taylor Swift Way’ on concert dates from 1 to 5 p.m.
- Street Talk Stencils will feature poetry by six established, new career and youth Toronto poets stenciled along sidewalks in select areas of ‘Taylor Swift Way’ for the duration of the Eras Tour. Via QR codes, passersby will be able to digitally experience the poetry in animated form and learn about the poets.
