Brampton – National Volunteer Week is from April 14 to 20, 2024, and as the City celebrates, it extends its heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers across Brampton.
Each year, National Volunteer Week offers an opportunity to highlight the important contributions of volunteers in communities across Canada, including in Brampton. It is estimated that Canadians volunteer 2.5 billion hours every year. This is equivalent to roughly 2.5 million full-time jobs.
This year’s theme is Every Moment Matters. Volunteers are selfless individuals who offer their skills and resources to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Their effort helps make Brampton a stronger and more resilient city and contributes to the success of the local economy.
The City of Brampton offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals aged 14 years old and older across various divisions such as Animal Services, Community Emergency Response Volunteers (CERV), Brampton On Stage and Recreation. The City is always seeking talented individuals to join the team. To learn more about volunteer opportunities in Brampton and how to get involved, visit Brampton.ca/volunteers.
