Some ways to manage is eating foods that boost serotonin levels. Foods such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables contain complex carbohydrates that stimulate the production of serotonin.  Omega-3 fatty acids found in fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, and sardines, have shown to reduce inflammation in the brain. Tryptophan, an amino acid, found in turkey, chicken, eggs, and cheese, is a precursor to serotonin. Avoid caffeine and alcohol as these can trigger anxiety symptoms.
