Trenton – Communities across the country are facing housing pressures. The Government of Canada is investing to help four Nova Scotia companies build their capacity to deliver innovative home building solutions, and increase housing supply.

Empowering growth in the home construction industry

Sean Fraser, Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities and Member of Parliament for Central Nova, announced a total repayable investment of nearly $2.8 million to four manufacturers that contribute to the strength and growth of the region’s housing sector. The announcement was made on behalf of Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Developmment and Minister responsible for ACOA.

The funding will help Maritime TrussTrenton WoodWorksMoulding Warehouse and Lake Shore Living expand facilities and acquire advanced equipment to increase production to supply the housing sector. For more information on the companies and projects, please see the related backgrounder.
