BRAMPTON – The City of Brampton will celebrate School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week from June 3 to 7 to recognize the vital role crossing guards have in ensuring the safety and well-being of their community. This year, the Ontario Traffic Council’s School Crossing Programs Committee has launched a province-wide drawing contest with the winning drawings featured on thank-you cards distributed during School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week.
How to participate in the province-wide drawing contest
Children ages four to 14 years old can express their gratitude and appreciation for School Crossing Guards by using any drawing medium of their choice. The winning drawings will be featured on thank-you cards distributed during School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week.
The winners will be individually notified and announced online on Monday, April 15, 2024. Submissions should be emailed to traffic@otc.org along with the child’s first name, age, school, municipality, and contact information. The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 29, 2024.
