117 non-profit orgs, charities awarded under 2024 Advance Brampton Fund

BRAMPTON – The City of Brampton announced funding of nearly $1.5 million to support 117 Brampton-led non-profit organizations and registered charities through its 2024 Advance Brampton Fund (ABF). Recognizing the unique and valuable role the non-profit sector plays in delivering programs and services to meet community needs, the Advance Brampton Fund aims to support this sector  in three priority areas:

  • Arts & Culture – nearly $520,000 in grants, supporting cultural expression and community engagement.
  • Community Safety – more than $365,0000 in grants, supporting organizations for responsive programs that increase community safety, belonging and inclusion and to improve resident wellness.
  • Recreation – more than $600,000 in grants, providing organizations with funding to improve physical health through physical activity and nutrition and providing increased recreational opportunities for seniors and youth.
Since 2020, the Advance Brampton Fund has provided nearly $4.5 million in grant funding to Brampton’s non-profit and charitable sector supporting more than 400 projects to help improve quality of life for Brampton residents. Past recipients include Asees Foundation, Brilliant Mind Group and The Hive Performing Arts.
