Brampton – Invest in our planet with the City of Brampton as we recognize Earth Month.

The City of Brampton is offering events and activities all month with an aim to create a more sustainable and green future. Programming will culminate with an Earth Day Environmental Celebration on Saturday, April 22.
Parks Clean Up Program 
The Parks Cleanup Program launches April 1 and runs until November 1. Schools can register for a School Challenge, to help clean up City of Brampton parks. Participating schools will be eligible for a draw to win a $1,000 gift certificate from the Outdoor Learning Store.

City of Brampton Earth Day Celebration and Climate Change Exhibition
Join us at Norton Place Park on April 22 for the second annual Earth Day Celebration. Speak to local environmental groups, take part in the Climate Change Exhibition, with tree and seed giveaways and other family-friendly activities. A free lunch will be provided upon registration for the event. Register at www.brampton.ca/earthday.
To promote the City’s first Climate Change Adaptation Plan, the City will be hosting a Climate Change Exhibition. Come hear from guest speakers, take part in a live mural painting, and see climate-related artwork created by residents. The Climate Change Exhibition will also announce the winner of the Climate Change Art Competition.

Pre-registration is required for all Earth Day celebrations, tree planting and tree giveaway events.
As a countdown to Earth Month, the City of Brampton took part in Earth Hour this year on March 25, as part the City’s Zero Carbon Strategy, to reduce Brampton’s carbon footprint and to protect our planet. Shutting off lights at many Brampton facilities for this one-hour period, from 8:30 to 9:30 pm, signifies our participation and solidarity to the cause.
