Ontario – It is election day in Ontario and voters are heading to the polls to choose their next provincial government. Doug Ford is leading his Progressive Conservative Party,Bonnie Crombie is leading the Ontario Liberal Party, Marit Stiles for the Ontario NDP, and Ontario Green Party has longtime leader Mike Schreiner in the fray.
Polls are open from 9am to 9pm. To vote, you must be 18 years of age or older, a Canadian citizen, and a resident of Ontario. If you received a voter information card in the mail, it will tell you where to go to vote in your riding. Bring the card with you, along with one piece of ID showing your name to receive a ballot when you go to vote.
If you don’t have a voter information card, bring one piece of ID showing both your name and home address. You don’t need photo ID to vote and your identification can be on your phone. You can look up your voting place using your postal code on the Elections Ontario website.
