Toronto – The widow of late NDP leader Jack Layton, MP Olivia Chow is the latest candidate to join Toronto’s mayor today. She filed her nomination papers at city hall. She was city councillor in Toronto from 1991 to 2005 and went on to win seat as an NDP MP for Trinity-Spadina, that she held from 2006-2014. In 2014 also she ran an unsuccessful mayoral race and came third behind John Tory and Doug Ford.
