Toronto Mayor Chow invites residents on Annual Skating Party

Toronto – Join Mayor Olivia Chow and Members of Council on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 2-4pm at Nathan Phillips Square to celebrate the new year with a skating party!

Skates will be available to borrow, free of charge, along with hot chocolate and cookies. This will also be an opportunity to meet and greet Mayor Chow and Members of Council.

Other activities to look forward to include:

  • Meet and skate with the players from Toronto’s new Professional Women’s Hockey League team.
  • Learn from Fire Keeper Geoff Daybutch about the significance of ceremonial fires in Indigenous culture.
  • Try Indigenous winter sports, organized by the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto.
  • Experience the last day of the Cavalcade of Lights activations on the Square.
