Transit changes on Easter weekend in Brampton

BRAMPTON– This year, Good Friday takes place on Friday, March 29 and Easter Monday is on Monday, April 1. Most City of Brampton offices, including City Hall, will be closed. All essential and critical services, including Fire and Emergency Services, Traffic Services, By-Law Enforcement, Road Operations, and Security Services will continue to operate as usual to support the community. For any inquiries, residents can call 311 or 905.874.2000 (outside of Brampton), use the Brampton 311 app (available on App Store or Google Play), visit 311brampton.ca​ or email 311@brampton.ca​. 311 is available 24/7 for any City of Brampton or Region of Peel matters.​

Brampton Transit

Brampton Transit will be operating within the following service levels from March 29 to April 1:​

Friday, March 29 (Good Friday)

Operating on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. Customer Service counters at the terminals will be closed. The Contact Centre will be available to assist from 9 am – 6 pm at 905.874.2999.

Saturday, March 30

Operating on a regular weekday schedule.
Customer Service counters at the terminals will be open. The Contact Centre will be available to assist from 7 am – 7 pm at 905.874.2999. ​

Sunday, March 31 (Easter Sunday)

Operating on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. Customer Service counters at the terminals will be closed. The Contact Centre will be available to assist from 9 am – 6 pm at 905.874.2999. ​

Monday, April 1 (Easter Monday)

Operating on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. Customer Service counters at the terminals will be closed. The Contact Centre will be available to assist from 7 am – 9 pm at 905.874.2999.

Brampton Transit Clark and Sandalwood Facilities, including Lost and Found, will be closed from March 29 – April 1, and will re-open on April 2.

Brampton Recreation

Select City of Brampton Recreation Centres are open for limited drop-in programs and services during the Easter holiday. There will be no registered programs running on Friday, March 29 or Monday, April 1. Holiday hours can be viewed here.

Brampton Library

Brampton Animal Services

The Brampton Animal Shelter will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. Animal Control will be on the road from 8 am to 6:30 pm and will continue to respond to emergency calls outside of these hours.
