Under the leadership of Army Chief General Asim Munir, participants of the Corps Commanders Conference have expressed their resolve to confront all attempts to destabilize Pakistan with full force and vowed not to allow any disruption to peace in Balochistan.
According to the Pakistan Army’s Public Relations (ISPR), the 268th Corps Commanders Conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Asim Munir. A prayer was offered for the martyrs, and tributes were paid to the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians.
The forum received a briefing on the current regional situation, national security challenges, and Pakistan’s strategic response to increasing threats. A detailed review of the regional and internal security situation was also conducted during the conference.
According to ISPR, the forum reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating terrorism at all costs and stated that any efforts to destabilize Pakistan would be met with full force. The forum emphasized that the state would take decisive action against hostile elements, facilitators, and those supporting them.
ISPR further stated that the forum reiterated that no one would be allowed to disrupt peace in Balochistan, and efforts to undermine Balochistan’s stability and prosperity would be thwarted.
Conference participants said that foreign alliances, attempts to spread discord, and efforts to escalate tensions have been fully exposed, and no leniency will be shown to those involved in such activities.
The forum stressed the need for the swift and effective implementation of the National Action Plan and emphasized the importance of a collective approach with the cooperation of the entire nation to counter terrorism.
Participants also highlighted the unwavering support of the people of Balochistan in thwarting these nefarious attempts, and assured that state institutions would strictly implement the law without any compromise.
Army Chief General Asim Munir appreciated the initiation of District Coordination Committees under the National Action Plan and emphasized the need for their unhindered execution, urging all institutions to cooperate as per the government’s directives.
He also affirmed that the Pakistan Army would provide full support to the government and law enforcement agencies in countering terrorism financing, as illegal activities are intricately linked to the financing of terrorism.
The Corps Commanders Conference expressed deep concern over the severe human rights violations in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir and raised concerns over the Indian military’s unprovoked ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC).
The forum reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong and unwavering support for the just rights of the people of occupied Kashmir and emphasized the need for continuous diplomatic efforts to highlight the human rights violations in Kashmir at the international level.
The forum also expressed full solidarity with the people of Palestine, condemning the serious human rights violations and war crimes in Gaza, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering diplomatic, political, and moral support for the Palestinian cause.
At the conclusion of the conference, Army Chief General Asim Munir directed field commanders to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness and professional expertise, emphasizing the need for rigorous training to ensure top-notch military preparedness.
