In a historic move, the district headquarters of South Waziristan (Upper) has been relocated from Tank to Ladha, bringing significant relief to the people who previously faced immense difficulties due to the long travel required for any government work.
Before this change, the district offices were located in Tank, which meant residents had to travel long distances to complete any official tasks. This shift aims to make government services more accessible and convenient for the people of the region.
Following the relocation, a high-level meeting was held to assess the arrangements for public service delivery from the new district headquarters in Ladha. The meeting was attended by Corps Commander Peshawar, Lieutenant General Umar Ahmed Bukhari, Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, and other senior military and civilian officials.
The meeting focused on ensuring that all departments would operate effectively from Ladha and provide immediate services to the public.
Local leaders have praised this decision, viewing it as a step toward development, stability, and a brighter future for Waziristan. Public circles have expressed their gratitude, commending the efforts of the security forces and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for this significant change.
