Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s Political Committee has decided that only individuals listed by a designated committee will be allowed to meet Imran Khan in jail.

In a detailed meeting, the political committee discussed the country’s overall situation and other key matters. It was decided that a five-member committee would be formed to oversee jail meetings with the PTI founder.

This committee will prepare a list of individuals every Tuesday and Thursday who wish to meet Imran Khan. This list will be sent to the jail authorities after being approved by Imran Khan himself.

The committee announced that Barrister Gohar, Salman Akram Raja, or Intizar Panjotha will be responsible for delivering the approved list to the jail authorities. No one outside this list will be permitted to meet the PTI founder.

According to the statement, this procedure is in line with Imran Khan’s instructions and a ruling by the Islamabad High Court.

The committee also decided to immediately file a contempt of court petition against jail authorities. However, government officials from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be allowed to meet Imran Khan at any time and are not bound by the five-member committee’s list.
