BRAMPTON– The City of Brampton is investing $25 million in a new local sports infrastructure project, as part of the 2025 Budget. The City is delivering its first dedicated year-round cricket facility at Earnscliffe Park, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and expanding access to sports and recreation for all residents.

The new facility will feature a turf cricket field, a five-lane batting cage, a comfort station and a seasonal dome, keeping these amenities accessible year-round. It will also create an inclusive space for players of all ages and skill levels. The project is now underway and is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025.

The new Earnscliffe Park Cricket Facility aligns with Brampton’s broader commitment to winterizing recreation amenities to improve the availability of sports year-round. This project builds on the recently opened Rosalea Park Tennis Facility to connect more youth to tennis and the Cassie Campbell Field Hockey Dome, offering a new winterized multi-sport facility.

Earnscliffe Park Cricket Facility will also facilitate opportunities to connect more residents to the sport through the Youth Cricket League and Brampton Sports League, recreation programs that create skill development opportunities for players of all levels, while fostering community engagement and a love for the game.
