BC – Joe Kapp, the NFL quarterback that led the BC Lions to their first Grey Cup title, died at the age of 85, the Lions confirmed. The cause of death wasn’t immediately told but Kapp told the San Jose Mercury News in 2016 he had Alzheimer’s disease and was donating his brain for concussion research. He also battled dementia for over a decade. He made global headlines when he came to blows with fellow Hall of Famer Angelo Mosca.
