Toronto – The City of Toronto rose the Toronto Sceptres flag at Toronto City Hall to celebrate the teams highly-anticipated home opener, at Courtesy flagpole, Podium Roof, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street W. The event was feature remarks by Mayor Olivia Chow and appearances by Sceptres’ Captain Blayre Turnbull, Assistant Captains Renata Fast and Jocelyne Larocque as well as Head Coach Troy Ryan. Chow said: “Toronto loves hockey, and the PWHL Toronto Sceptres proved that in their first season. In fact, they’re moving to a bigger arena this year! Great to raise the flag at City Hall today before this weekend’s home opener. I’m looking forward to an amazing second season.”
