Toronto – Tennis is a great way to have fun, get fit and challenge yourself at any skill level. Public courts are free and available to the public at all times, nets are provided, casual tennis play is on a first come, first served basis. Users should share the courts with anyone waiting every 30 minutes. Club courts are generally permitted by community tennis clubs, but also have six free prime time hours for the public to play during the week (clay courts and L’Amoreaux Tennis Centre not included). Contact your local club for the hours of access or membership information. Tennis courts may be closed during the winter.
Described as a combination of ping-pong, tennis, and badminton, pickleball is a fun paddle sport that can be played in singles or doubles, outdoors on shared tennis courts or on a variety of shared sports courts which allow players to bring their own net to play. Beginners welcome. Times can be booked online or by contacting Client Services at 416-396-7378. There are also indoor courts at recreation centres that offer regular drop-in times for matches.
