New York – Bill Belichick and the Patriots have amicably decided to part ways as the NFL coach’s era comes to an end. It concludes a 24-year tenure as the Patriots’s head coach, during which time the team achieved a historic six Super Bowl victories. Belichick is the only NFL head coach in history to have won 13 or more games in seven different seasons. With three, George Seifert comes next. He won the Super Bowl for eight times. It includes six with the New England Patriots (2001, 2003, 2004, 2014, 2016, 2018) and two as an assistant with the New York Giants (1986, 1990). He is the only head coach in NFL history with six Super Bowl triumphs.
