Montreal – The National Film Board of Canada is making a strong showing at the 2024 Annecy International Animation Film Festival with four short films, including three in official competition. The latter are the highly anticipated Maybe Elephants (Mikrofilm/NFB) by Torill Kove; Le tableau (The Painting) by Michèle Lemieux, made using the Alexeïeff-Parker pinscreen; and Ryo Orikasa’s astonishing Miserable Miracle (Miyu Productions/NFB/New Deer).
