Canadian dollar strengthens against world volute – Watch

The Canadian dollar strengthened against the greenback on Wednesday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed.

The loonie was trading 0.3% higher at C$1.3917 to the greenback, or 71.85 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3904 to 1.3966.

Canadian government 10-year bond yields rose 1.3 basis points to 3.125%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 4.3446%.

U.S. May crude futures rose 89 cents to $62.22 a barrel on Wednesday.
