Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister, Ishaq Dar, is currently on a crucial one-day official visit to Kabul. During his trip, Dar held in-depth talks with Afghan Foreign Minister, Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi, where the two leaders discussed a wide range of issues aimed at enhancing the diplomatic, economic, and strategic relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
This meeting comes at a time when both countries are looking to deepen their cooperation in areas such as security, trade, and border management. Dar and Muttaqi specifically explored how both governments can collaborate to foster peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
Accompanied by a high-level Pakistani delegation, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar was warmly welcomed by Afghan government officials upon his arrival in Kabul. The visit was marked by the signing of memoranda of understanding on various bilateral matters, including enhanced border cooperation, anti-terrorism efforts, and trade facilitation.
In addition to his meeting with Minister Muttaqi, Dar is scheduled to meet with Afghanistan’s Acting Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Acting Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, and the Acting Foreign Minister Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi during his stay. These talks are expected to further solidify the cooperation between the two nations, focusing on both security concerns and economic development.
